Curiosity is what got me into development, and it's what keeps me going. I've always liked tinkering and finding out how things work. Software lets me explore whole systems and build things that make a positive impact, whether that's in people's day-to-day lives or in business outcomes.

I enjoy designing software, especially where there's an interesting problem to solve: fixing performance issues, cleaning up messy systems, or trying out new technology. You can rely on me to deliver what I say I'll deliver, and to be upfront when things aren't going well or when what's been asked for isn't possible or would be costly.

The project I'm proudest of is the authentication and profile management platform. It's my most ambitious. It took two years, needed a lot of planning because of how many customers used the legacy app, and meant working through the realities of a large organisation.

I do my best work quietly and independently, and I'm glad to collaborate when it helps. I work best with motivated, driven people, in teams with no egos where people help each other out.

I garden. There's something satisfying about showing up every day and watching your efforts grow, literally.
